Daniel R. Moll

Dan Moll is Executive Director for the Washington, DC office of DMGS.

Experience

Before joining DMGA, a predecessor to DMGS, Dan served as Deputy Staff Director of the House Government Reform Committee where he was responsible for the legislative agenda and oversight activities of the full Committee and its seven Subcommittees. During the six years he served in this capacity, Dan played an integral role in the passage of numerous pieces of legislation including the creation of the Homeland Security Department, the Balanced Budget Act, sweepstakes reform, implementation of a long-term care benefit for federal employees, federal employee health benefit program anti-fraud act, the Drug-Free Communities Act, the Small Business Paperwork Reduction Act, and the Recovery Audit Act. The Government Reform Committee possesses the widest ranging legislative jurisdiction of any Congressional Committee and is considered one of the most influential and powerful House Committees.

Prior to his time on the House Government Reform Committee, Dan worked for Subcommittee on Civil Service as its Senior Policy Director. In that capacity, he supervised policy development and program analysis of federal employee benefit and compensation programs. Dan also worked for eight years at the House Post Office and Civil Service Committee prior to its consolidation into the Government Reform Committee. Dan also oversaw all Committee activities related to the United States Postal Service. In total, during his time in the US House of Representatives, Dan worked for seven Members of Congress, three Subcommittees, and two full Committees. He was widely considered to be one of the Hill’s premiere authorities on federal employee compensation and benefits and Postal Service issues.

Dan is a Principal for the Council for Excellence in Government, which is a prestigious group of individuals who have served as public officials and now hold leadership roles in a wide range of other non-governmental organizations. The Council works to improve the performance of government at all levels and government’s place in the lives and esteem of American citizens.

Education

Dan graduated from Fredonia State University and is a native of Rochester, New York.

He is married to Mary Moll and has one son, Luke.
