Allen's experience includes the following:
Program Director, FirstLink
- FirstLink is the nation's first National Center of Excellence for First Responder Technology Transfer.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations ensuring that the program continued to successfully meet its program requirements of facilitating the movement of technologies and knowledge from the DoD to the private sector
- Responsible for identifying and institutionalizing the processes that support best practices for accomplishing FirstLink's technology transfer and transition metrics
Executive Vice President, MCCS
- Responsible for new business development and the maintenance and expansion of responsibility and relationships with existing clients
- Served as a Program Manager for several efforts including; working as the Program Manager for a Defense Logistics Agency initiative for hazardous materials identification, sorting, and tracking
- Supported the development of a forecasting and management tool for pharmaceuticals and medical/surgical equipment during worldwide crisis
- Served as a subject matter expert to DARPA's Advanced Logistics Program
- Led the development of all procurement initiatives, including GSA Schedules, RFPs, grant proposals, and successful application to the Federal 8(a) minority owned business program
Employee, DOD/Project Officer, U.S. Army
- Supported asset visibility, a successful effort to improve asset data related to worldwide visibility of equipment that was on hand, on order, or in transit
- Responsible for user guides, briefing charts, pre-installation site surveys, user and instructor training (including military and civilians), and fielding the systems worldwide
- Consulted to Army and Air Force activities on asset visibility and accounting problems related to the Conventional Arms Reduction Treaty
Systems Analyst, U.S. Army
- Responsible for the maintenance and development of a system for inventory data related to worldwide visibility of Army assets
- Responsible for system changes user guides, functional systems design guidance, and troubleshooting customer assistance requests
Supervisory Systems Analyst
- Responsible for providing systems support to all operational departments at Letterkenny Army depot, including determining data processing hardware and software requirements, performing economic analysis, systems analysis, project management for implementation of new systems, and testing of emerging systems
During Allen's DoD career he was responsible for logistics support and requirements determination leading to procurement for over 1,000 items of supply.
