Alex DeBoissiere is a director of Duane Morris Government Affairs LLC’s Washington, DC office.
Alex recently served as vice president of government relations for the Midwest ISO, the nation’s first federally approved regional electricity grid operator. His responsibilities included representing the organization before the Administration, Congress, 15 midwestern states and the Canadian province of Manitoba.
Alex has held positions in the Washington, DC, offices of Cinergy (now Duke) and Tenneco Inc. He represented the interests of these organizations before government officials in areas of energy, corporate structure, taxes, environment and international trade.
He was an attorney in the Office of the General Counsel at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, providing legal advice primarily in the area of electricity regulation. He also served as a staff assistant to the Honorable Guy V. Molinari (R-Staten Island, NY).
He was a member of the transition team of Governor George Allen (R-VA) and served on the Governor’s commissions on Base Retention and Defense Adjustment and Metropolitan Washington Airports.
Alex earned a Master of Laws degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC.
